POWER MOBILITY DEVICES - LOCAL COVERAGE DETERMINATION New Medicare requirements for Power Mobility Devices are effective for dates of service on or after November 15, 2006. The new Medicare Power Mobility Device medical policy includes new HCPCS codes for billing as well as new clinical requirements. The new PMD LCD (Local Coverage Determination) and Policy Article applies to any power wheelchair or power operated vehicle delivered on or after November 15, 2006.
